Hi I am setting up a 3 axis CNC machine using 2 Adafruit stepper motor shields (Stacked) with an Arduino board, I can get the test circuit to move the steppers but cannot get it to work with Gcode file, using G code universal Sender. and GRBL. I was thinking of using Linux CNC, EMC2 instead. Has anyone had success with this hardware combination, any suggestions appreciated
You are incorrectly assuming that people here are likely to have experience of the the same stuff and know what you are talking about.
You may be better asking your question on one or other of the CNC forums. Is there a GRBL forum?
I reckon I could write my own code to do what you are saying, but I don't know GRBL or any of the other off-the-shelf CNC programs.
As a wild guess, I'd say the problem is to tell GRBL which pins work which motors.
