I'm going to be making a table fan with a 12V DC motor with a no-load current of 0.7A. The fan's diameter is about 7 inches and is made out of lightweight plastic.... Could you please suggest a good adapter? Would a 12V 0.8A adapter work? I will be wiring it into a motor speed control switch board.
refer to reply #1 in your other post. I will repeat, you must size the power supply for the stall current of the motor not the (much less) no load current.
