Add Servo to RAMPS1.6

Hello all,

I have searched this forum and the Internet but for some reason cannot find the simple difference between RAMPS1.4 & RAMPS1.6 regarding adding servos.

For RAMPS1.4 you need to add a jumper to access the servo pins. But I see RAMPS1.6 has a different layout with nowhere to add a jumper?

Is there no jumper for RAMPS1.6 to access the servo? Can I just plug the servo in?

I added the servo to the Arduino/2560Mega/RAMPS1.6 board and it did not work, tried both pin11 and pin6. Is there a jumper somewhere like for RAMPS1.4?

I also added the same servo to my ArduinoUno and u/l the same code for a simple 180deg sweep, used pin9 and it works.

Does anyone know how to use a servo for RAMPS1.6 or what Im doing wrong? The pins for RAMPS1.6 are D11, D6, D5, D4.

Hello! Don't use the jumpers to supply the voltage because the RAMPS 1.6 boards often have a manufacturing defect. I'll provide you with the link where they discussed this problem and a possible alternative solution. ramps 1.6 + servos ?
