Due to the fact that the ATMEGA32U4 is out of stock, I have to put together a couple of boards that run a small program that fits perfectly on the ATMEGA16U4.
I updated the avrdude.conf to include the definition for the ATMEGA16U4 and created the boards.txt using the leonardo entry as a base.
Every time I try to compile I get the error (unknown MCU 'atmega16u4' specified). Where else should I include the definition for the new MCU. Any help will be greatly appreciated here.
