I am powering the strip with an external power supply that can supply up to 15 Amps. I tested a smaller LED strip of only 12 LED's using the Nano power supply but that was just to insure that the code was running correctly on the board. I don't understand why the sequence would start running as the power supply is shut off but not while it is turned on.
