Aduino IDE serial port grey

Hello,

I installed the arduino ide, startet it through the shell using sudo.
My user is part of the group dialout.

The option serial port in the tools menu is grey and not clickable.
What can I do now?

Plug in your Arduino.
Check:

lsusb

dmesg

Try a new cable if it isn’t showing up.

Run through this:
