Advice on good microphones

Hi guys,

I am using Arduino Uno and I am going to do an audio project, so I would like to ask you for an advice about which microphones should I buy, preferably cheap ones, but still able to do the job.

My project is going to be able to locate sound source by determining difference between sound wave arrival times to the individual microphones, basically something similar to this:

Any electret will do.
You have to amplify a mic before connecting to an analogue input.

This breakout board seems to have an electret mic and onboard preamp:

Don't buy the cheaper ones with digital output (sound detection modeles).
