I am wanting to create a Dashboard for a pc game. So i want the lights to light up as they would on a dash board controlled from the game it self I can create the plugin code for the game its just the correct controller to power and control the lights in total I only need to power 8 independent LEDS. I am struggling to find the right item to drive these wondering if you can help

For what I understand you are talking about the LED's, right?
If so, you can use an Arduino Leonardo, and, if don't need that the LED's be to much bright you only need the LED's and some resistors. I'm assuming that you only need to control the turn ON/OFF of the LED's.
