In this location on the forum :http://www.arduino.cc/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1266105254 it describes one intrepid worker's efforts to make sure the device is working properly. This was done using the Sparkfun device.
However http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/ADXL3xx confirms that the Sparkfun family will work properly.
But it also states that the ones from AdaFruit will also work, but the pinouts are different.
It states, and I quote here "though the order of the pins is slightly different.".
Also the store in NYC at the NYU ITP facility sells the ones from AdaFruit. Advice and suggestions please.
