Alarm project.

Hi i'm a student, i have a project with the school. I have a plan but i'm not sure about the Arduino could handle the things i want to do. This is my plan, i want to make a alarm which could start all the devices when you make it snooze or stop it. I have figured out i need to have a device which could handle all the connections. I have a plan to have wifi or ethernet and bluetooth for the speaker. But i have been told that Arduino can't handle too many things.
