Note the connection to the 5V pin on the ESP, not the 3.3 V. You can generally use the same 5 V supply for both but the corresponding connections must be run together as a pair; the relay "JD-VCC" and ground from relay module direct to power supply, the 5 V and ground from power supply to Arduino or ESP, and the 5 V and control wires together from Arduino or ESP to relay module.
