Alternative for regular sound sensor

Hi,
I'm a newby-primary teacher (and a girl... :frowning: ) with limited knowledge of electronics. For use in my school I would like to make a traffic light that responds to the noise in the refectory. If it low-level, a green light turns on, if there a little bit of noise, the orange goes on, if it's too loud, te red goes on.

The programming is okay, but my sound sensor doesn't react enough to the noise. Is there an alternative that I can use?

my sound sensor doesn't react enough to the noise.

And your sound sensor is . . ?

It's a FC-04. Tried already with one of my collegues at evening class too. Didn't work also. Don't know his type.

It's a FC-04

A what?

Thanks - that's so much clearer now.

Then explain your question to me. What information do you want????

What is an FC-04?
Where is its specification?
Where is its schematic?

try this
