no, it is a one-dimensional touchpad.

I am thinking of the notion of drawing on water... I wonder if peanut butter would work since I could see the lines.
Okay, no, it would get gross after a few days.

1D is a line, a piece of wire. 2D is a surface. 3D is a volume.
Pads are 2D. The water thing... 2D. You can have 1D but if you show 2D examples then it's off the wall to the rest of us.
No, you can't draw, since it's a 1D sensor.
It tracks the x-coordinate of fingertip on a water surface.
