I am looking for alternative power supplies for the Arduino, I have already worked with a solar cell, but I am still looking for other possibilities, such as a water wheel, wind turbine or kinetic energy. Has anyone ever tried this?

Copper wire + iron nails + 5 lemmons work quite well.

Specifically? I've generated electricity from water and wind turbine, but can't say I powered an Arduino specifically by it. I never knew that the source of electricity would have an affect on my Arduino projects.
Well, in some parts of the country, the electricity out of the wall socket is already coming from a wind turbine or a water wheel, so yeah, we've done that.
It doesn't, if the source voltage and current capabilities are within the specified voltage and current ranges for Arduino.
