Is there any reason, why I shouldn't? i didnt fine any reason unless you are trying to control LED lights. What are rating of led lights???

Yes - Relays should NEVER be used when a transistor can be used!

it's LED Lights I am looking to control.

I haven't decided on what LED lights yet.

What I am hoping to do is. Make a lighting control system. Using the arduino with the Ethernet shield as a webserver. I have a pretty decent understanding on the software side of things got my HTTP post working and how I want the web side of things to work.

Now trying to understand the relay and LED lighting, power supply side of things, learning as I go.

I think the implication is that he intends to use mains-powered luminaries, in which case SSRs would be appropriate.
