Amend the 'File>New' template - is this possible?

Hey All

Just a quck one! Is there a way to amend the base sketch file that is created when you select File>New ?

I want to personalise it a tad for me!

Possible? if so, how do I do this please?

Thanks

Have you tried? There is an ino file that is copied when the IDE is started without an ino file being specified. Find it, and modify it as you see fit.

Or make your own starting file, and skip the File + New option.

File/New loads the BareMinimum example sketch. Modify that to make it what you want in File/New. That is what I have done.

I can't seem to find this file, Paul. Looked through all .ino files on the Mac, but not sure the one to which you refer. Doesn't seem to be anything in Preferences, or the prefs txt file one can edit with additional information. Any pointers?

It might be easier to edit BareMinimum as suggested, which (for Windows anyway) is in the Examples folder in the install (not sketchbook).
