amp recommendation for 8ohm .5W speaker

I'm looking for an amplifier IC to use with a .5W 8ohm speaker for a toy project. I previously used a LM386N but it has too much quiescent power draw for a battery project that goes into sleep mode and no shutdown feature.

I'd like to use PCM/PWM 0-5V audio output from the MCU, and a minimum of accessory components (Rs & Cs) at low cost. Can anyone recommend a good amp for this application, so far I've looked at many from ST and TI such as LM4819, TPA321, TPA301, LM4864, TS4871...

Recently bought some PAM8403 modules off ebay.
I bought these with a battery powered application in mind.

This is a class D amplifier.
