I have purchased a arduino uno, and an adafruit motor shield Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo Shield for Arduino v2 Kit [v2.3] : ID 1438 : $19.95 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits.
This is my first project with arduino, so I accidentally bought a shield that might not handle the amperage. I will be controlling a 10amp motor with a 12V 10amp power source.
I am learning that the specs on the adafruit shield recommend amperage lower than 3A. Is there anything I can add to drive the motor with the correct amperage without having to buy a new motor shield? Or if I have too, are there any suggestions on replacements?
Thank you for the time.
