An alternative to the Arduino editor (IDE)

I have some good news for the people who feel constrained by the default arduino editor and are looking for a more "heavy weight" alternative...here is a link http://www.codeproject.com/KB/system/Arduino_Unleashed.aspx

Unfortunately, using the term arduino in your IDE is not legal as it is copyrighted.

Have you seen the plethora of other alternative IDEs that people have created?

I would take a look at this but I am rather reluctant to download stuff without having any info on it.
Does it look like the arduino IDE? (Got any screenshots)
What does it do differently?
What advantages does it have?

Hey mowcius, thanks for taking the time out to comment...you'll be pleased to know that I was talking about another very popular open source IDE called Eclipse and it does not infringe on the Arduino trademark. Please take a look at the website pointed to by the url given in the first post to look at screen shots and also to know how to get started with Arduino development in Eclipse. Hope this answers your concerns.

Yeah sorry if it just sounds like I have not read it, that's cos I haven't... For some reason it is blocked here. I'll try and remember to take a look when I get home.

I just presumed from the address name that it was called Arduino Unleashed.

I would still have said that you wanted to add more info to your post. Many people will flick over something like that but if you mentioned eclipse then they might be interested and go and look. Try to keep forum posts as detailed and interesting looking as possible
