An audio message storing system. is it possible?

Hi… I need a little help. I am trying to convert real time audio into .wav because arduino required .wav. is it possible? What I am basically trying is to covert audio signal into digital data with ADC and then I weant to store it on an SD card! then feed this data to a DAC and get back the audio signal…

But is it possible to store and read data from file and feed it to DAC?

If not is there a way to use this data n generate a .wav file?

I have an Arduino Uno board!

Sure is. All you need is a PC and a sound card and a microphone.

What DAC? Most Arduinos don't have a DAC.

You can. Then, you'll have a really slow ADC connected via a slow bus to a DAC. Doesn't sound like the recipe for good DSP to me. The Arduino is not a DSP.
