I'm thinking to make a system where the generator on my mobile home starts by itself based of the battery bank voltage. I know there are autostart system out there already, but I figured I could save some money and if not at least have fun making it myself. I'm new to Arduino and would love some help regarding this.
I'm thinking I would basically need a voltage sensor and at at specific voltage send a signal which in turn would start my generator. Also, It would have to kill the generator once a second voltage value have been reached.
As a retired EE with 30 years of IT experience from programming to enterprise archicture, I think of many home possibilities; but I choose not to build; rather I buy well-researched commercial items.
Why?
Mainly family safety and liability avoidance and insurance concerns (electrical modifications made by non-licensed persons "may" void your homeowners' insurance or get you into hot water with residential licensure authorities on property resell.
