Analog Inputs peaks

Hi to all, i've found that during the time, the analog input value isn't ever the same ever the input voltage doesen't change. Do you know why?

Noise?
Really, you haven't given us much to go on there.
What is it wired to?
How much does it change?
How do you know the input doesn't change?

maybe the analog pin is open/floating? then it is influenced by electromagnetic fields... especially originating from the mains power...

Well, I completely forgot about this post.

How do you know the input doesn't change?

I've measured it for a while with an high precision multimeter.

What is it wired to?

It is wired to an LM35D...

How much does it change?

It varies around the 5 / 7 units.

influenced by electromagnetic fields

Well i had not thought about it... The same Arduino is wired to a microphone that which, as my professor said, is not shielded in the right way, so it could be the problem!

Sounds like noise in the system - perhaps lack of shielding on cables? How long are cables (particularly to the LM35D)?

Something like 20cm...
