Obviously, lower value resistors drain more current on the measured voltage. When it is a problem, you can simply lower dynamic impedance of a high resistance voltage divider adding a ceramic or plastic capacitor. If its value is very bigger than processor pin input capacitance, it can charge input capacitance keeping voltage constant.
