quick question. If im using this USB LiIon/LiPoly charger [v1.2] : ID 259 : $12.50 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits do i have to use pins 1&2 in the STAT section for an analog read or just one of them?

The STAT section appears to be the breakout pins for the status LEDs but the page seems to have no details although 3 LEDs are mentioned in the text. The numbers in that section would seem to have no relevance to the Arduino or analogue inputs as I would expect the LEDs to be either on or off. There seem to be no technical details available apart from the size of the board, unless you have found more.
