Analog softwareserial

Hello,

I was wondering if it's possible to use softwareserial with a analog pin.

Any info?

Can't see why not.

How do i need to define analog pin 1? A1?

A1 or 15, on a Duemilanove/UNO. It has a different number on a Mega, but the same alias (A1).

hmm i tried your trick with my Serial LCD with the following code, however it doesn't work

define txPin A1

SoftwareSerial LCD = SoftwareSerial(0, txPin);

void setup() { Serial.begin(9600); pinMode(txPin, OUTPUT); LCD.begin(9600); } void loop(){ }

Any suggestions?

It is not a trick it is what you need to do. What arduino are you using? Try putting 15 directly in.

It isn't a trick, and it isn't mine, but apart from that, in what way didn't it work?

I suggest you post all your code. That doesn't compile.
