Another AC dimming question - more precision?

Hi all

I've been searching through the forums for AC dimming solutions, but haven't really found what I'm looking for. This thread pretty much summarizes what's out there at the moment:

I bought the Velleman K8064 kit, and it works reasonably well but does stuff I don't want it to do. It has a soft start feature which I don't want, and there is a lot of hysteresis on the "on" voltage. The circuit doesn't turn on until I hit about 1.2V, even though I've adjusted the zero-threshold pot as low as it will go. This means I'm losing lots of my 0-5V bandwidth.

Can anyone offer a suggestion for a configuration that will use the full 0-5V range, include opto-isolation, and allow good control over 120VAC, 60Hz?

Thanks for the help,

Nigel
