My question is simple. There are too many Arduinos to choose from. Which one do I want?
My goal: I have no background in embedded computing or electronics and want to learn. I suspect that any board or kit would be fine; am I right?
A few minutes of web searching were sufficient. I found that there is an official starter kit in the Arduino store and numerous third party kits on the internet. I also found a neat Arduino selection guide at Adafruit (Selecting an Arduino | Adafruit Arduino Selection Guide | Adafruit Learning System), which states that the Uno is probably the best board to start with.
