I'm attempting to use sparkfun's capacitive sensing board, which is based on Analog Device's AD7746.

I have never used I2C, and the documentation for the board consists of AD's datasheet, which seems a bit beyond me. Any advice on using the wire.h include with an arduino diecimila? I can't seem to get the example Wire sketches to work and I'm not sure if I'm missing something very basic.
Any kind of beginner tutorial would be helpful.
