Any old timers able to host my code ?

Hi,
As the old timers will know I write rcarduino.blogspot.com, its quite popular with around 1,000 visits per day.

Whereever possible I have put the tutorial code directly in the blog posts, this is a bit ugly but better than nothing.

In other cases the projects involve more files or a directory structure that is not practical to put directly into a blog post.

Is there any way to add the projects to Arduino forum or arduino.cc as downloadable zip files, or would any of the established users (mods ?) be willing to host the code for me so that I can add links in the posts and not have to ask people to contact me through Arduino forum and wait for me to get around to sending them the code ?

Let me know if you can help,

Thanks

Duane B

I use these guys for my fencing club, www.crossroadsfencing.com, very inexpensive.
I use www.filezilla.com to upload files via ftp.

Hi Duane
I'm quite willing to let you use my server to store data. But if it is about open source code why not use github?
That gives you version control and not hassle with third parties for free (github is free for open source projects)
There are quite a lot of Arduino libraries on Github The Arduino code is on github so is my arduino eclipse plugin (and the lib I made from your rc code  ).

for instance the rc lib can be found here ArduinoLibraries/RCLib at master · jantje/ArduinoLibraries · GitHub and if you want to link to the code you can to https://raw2.github.com/jantje/libraries/master/RCLib/RCLib.h

But if you prefer not to. I have room on baeyens.it

I (almost) agree with @Jantje. Having used both I prefer Google Code (which has support for Git).

I use www.filezilla.com to upload files via ftp.

Thumbs-up on that!

mine is at one.com which starts at 1.25 euro a month for 5Gig (cheaper than startlogic). I recently upgraded to 30GB for 2.60euro/month to host the nightly builds. before that I don't think I ever hit 3Gig so there is room.

the dialog box shows IllutronBDEmo0_2.zip which contains all of the files, do you guys see this or some other file in the dialog ?

Thanks

Duane.

As riva stated. I can download individual files but not the zip.
Try another browser without logging on to google and you'll see.

File>Download works for me with FF.

I can download individual files but not the zip.

I don't see any files at all, just the menu.

Rob

It looks good to me, running Firefox.
I see menu and files, all 16 of them, is that correct?

Mind you, I am logged into Google, so could that be a reason some others don't see the files.

Paul

I missed the bestand download. That works indeed.
Sorry for the confusion.
Best regards
Jantje

I am logged into Google

I'm not, that must be why I don't see the files, but as I said I can download the ZIP.

Rob

I'm definitely not logged into Google and using Firefox 27 I get the below page. After other reported it worked I tried again and I can view/download individual files and if I select the non to obvious File menu I can download the zip.

Now it works, I see all the files. Go figure. I did log into Google during the day, that might have been it because I haven't done so for weeks. Even after loging out I can still see the files but maybe that's because I haven't shut down yet.

Rob

I don't have a Google account, and I was able to view the listing and download the zip file. I am using Firefox 26.0 on Windows 7.
