Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a drone that is middle of the road. I've rekindled my love of the arduino and figured a good way to continue up the dino learning curve might be to build a quadcopter.
Are there any good all in one kits that allow you to build a quadcopter? I'm looking for the following features:
- Decent Camera - would like at least 1080p
- Decent remote control distances - > 300m
- Would like Real Time View screen on remote plus PTZ camera control options
- Cool features like gps, etc
I'd like to stick around or lower than the $300 mark for everything.
Arducopter is the clear choice for the capabilities you want, but good luck getting near the $300 price range unless you have a large amount of time or resources readily available.

There are kits available, but I didn't build from a kit. I have built and am flying my own home-brew quadcopter that runs an Arduino Mega 2560 processor board for flight control. The Aeroquad software is open-source and is freely available on-line.
I have a GoPro camera mounted on my quad, and I recently added an FPV video camera/transmitter kit and fatshark goggles so I can now fly FPV.

Good luck with your endeavors!
