Use the right tool for the job.
Discrete electronic components are meant to be installed, enclosed and forgotten until the repair guy opens the case. Markings that withstand out-of-ordinary use is counter to manufacturing efficient use of capitol. There are probably "hobby" grade components made to be handled thousands of times. Same goes with everything manufactured... it is purpose made, or it is too expensive or too fragile.
