anyone in ohio??

anyone in ohio??

I am, Cincinnati, OH.

cool what have you done with arduio so far??

Not much. I'm still pretty much a newbie with microcontrollers. I've had it for a couple of months and gone through some of the tutorials. Ordered some things from Mouser, but alas, one part got backordered and it won't be shipped until next week.

Eventual plan is to hack my treadmill and make it programmable -- hopefully w/o destroying it first

Which part of Ohio are you from?

columbus. i want to make a sumo bot and see where i go from there. im going to vegas today for a week so ill wait to order parts or see if i even have money left after vegas ;D.

I'm located in Columbus, Dublin to be exact. I've only had my Arduino for a week or so. I'm new to microcontrollers and somewhat new to programming. So far all I've made is a thermometer that beeps the current temp (because I haven't ordered an LCD yet) in C or F. I hope to get a Wii nunchuck accelerometer hooked up soon though.

thats cool what board do you have? i have the bare bones but it works very well. i just got some photoresistors from radio shack and im dimming leds and playing with them right now. im going to get a motor driver and maybe later a sharp ir sensor to build a sumo bot with powerwheels motors.

I am in Akron. Slowly plugging away on an LED matrix project. I want to start a user group in the Akron area, if any one is interested let me know.

I may be attending the University of Akron so I'd definitely come to any meetings. I'm also working with led matrix's. I'm trying to make a large display driven by as1107 chips.

If you do end up at U of A, send me a PM and maybe we can get a group started. I am also new to microcontrollers, but have a little programming experience with C++ and Matlab from my college days.

I live in Ohio!!!! Cincy. Does anybody want to meet up. Im a newbie 11 year old learning python. ;D

Also from Ohio. Close enough to Akron to be able to meet.
I have my Mega moving servos that will eventually be a Hexapod.
Tons of fun so far, with understandable frustration at learning the environment.
Would love to get with others to see what you are doing!

I live in Piqua/Work in Dayton. I've had an arduino for a while now, but mostly just messing around with various things. Would be interesting to set up an central/southern/western Ohio SIG.

Seems there's a recently formed group in Cincy that get together to work on various projects. I think they were having Arduino classes on Tues night before the main meeting. Python's on Wed  People come and go at all times though.

(I've never actually made it there yet, but I do want to go

Akron Area user group getting off the ground... Akron Ohio Arduino User Group

I live in Kent and would be very interested in getting together with some people who know whats going on or are interested in putting their heads together to figure a few things out.

I have a Duemilanove (ATMEGA 328).

I have built my own protoshield, made some LEDs flash in some interesting patterns, made a few motors moved and built a super basic tricorder with a light sensor, temp sensor and a 16x2 LCD display to show the 'readings'.

Great! Mike and I have talked about getting together.
We will have to pick a night and show off our projects, and discuss the areas of difficulty.

What is your schedule like? So far, we are looking for something like a Tuesday in late February.

We have a new Arduino Meetup group in Ohio. Arduinohio!
http://www.meetup.com/Arduinohio
our first meeting is scheduled for 5:30pm on Tuesday February 16th, 2010.

Where is your meetup in Columbus? Might be able to pop down.
