I believe Data improvised a protected abstract virtual base pure virtual private destructor to disable the Borg ship's defensive phasers in ST:TNG episode 47, but I've never used one in real life.
(Actually, I'm not even sure how to parse the bleeping term to figure out what it is. It looks like something Chomsky would come up with to annoy people, like "Time flies like an arrow". Or like something Spock would use to cause the villainous computer to spin into catatonia and disappear up its own output port).
