I'm specifically trying to find out if there is a cap type that fits this switch. The actuator type is listed as 'plunger for cap', which makes me think there must be some sort of cap, but I can't find an example of said cap anywhere. Anyone seen this before or know if such a cap exists?

The pictures of keycaps (with holes that appear that they would fit over that shaft) are called "topre PBT". Try a Google search for that.
I found a few using GOOGLE but walmart has them besides Aliexpress
They are not as common as most tact switches though.
