I have an LED strip which has a B0 and D0 pins. I cannot find any code online which will get these to work. I cannot find any websites that shows LED strip lights with these pins. Can anyone tell me whether they are in fact APA102 chips as every guide shows a clock pin which I don't have.

No they are not.
They are I think a WS2813, the D0 is the data line and the B0 is the backup data line. This is used to stop one bad chip blocking all the LEDs down stream from it. See the data sheet for how to wire them. But if you already have a strip just wire it up like a WS2812 with one data line.
