Arbotix-M upload problem using Arduino IDE

Hi everyone,

I'm new in using Arbotix-M

i have following the guide from http://learn.trossenrobotics.com/arbotix/arbotix-quick-start.html

but when im starting to uploading ArbotiXBlink, i get this one,

avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00

i try to search to solve this problem but i dont get the solution.

im using Arbotix-M with FTDI module (E FTDI) FT232RL.
and using Arduino v1.05 and i try v1.06 too.

I'm following the guide carefully and exact as the guide says.

Please help me and please provide any information that you guys know :frowning:

How sure are you you select the right COM port? Have you verified it with the Device Manager? Please post a screenshot.

Very sure, cause only 1 COM PORT showed up, in my laptop only COM 6 if i use the FTDI ... the FTDI is COM 6

You have to replace your board. This error means that your board is not being able to communicate with the controller.

I'd suspect the bootloader is missing.
