Archiduino vs Industruino vs other

Does anyone have experience with one/both of the Archiduino or Industruino or another similar Arduino based product?

I played with an industruino and it did work well.

Both have specifications, you should ask yourself, do they meet my project needs.

What are you 'needs'?

Why are you looking for alternate Arduino boards?

What feature(s) led you to these? (ie: why the interest?)

footprint?
specific features?
industrial rated?

My needs are quite wide and variable, I have several projects in mind as I'm researching these two products and having something fairly universal would be nice. In this instance I'm looking for the following:

  • Arduino based
  • Simplify/eliminate hardware design
  • Rugged/Industrial Digital IO (Isolation, protection, high power drivers/relays)
  • Ruggest/Industrial Analog IO (Isolation, protection, DAC instead of PWM)
  • Expandability/Customizable IO(Industruino is quite fixed but has a good variety/capability, more below)
  • Built-on LCD (not essential but very nice)
  • Built in wifi (neither of the a fore mentioned have this)
  • Easy GSM/GPRS options

After compiling the specs and pricing of the Archidiuno vs the Industruino on a spreadsheet, I've found that after configuring the Archidiuno(1284) similarly to the Industruino(D21G), the Archidiuno costs me almost double and the Industruino is better.

  • 2x Flash/SRAM
  • 3x CPU freq
  • 128x64 graphic LCD instead of 16x2 char LCD
  • despite having a fixed set of IO, it's 8 digital IO can be either isolated high power Out (2A) or isolated In so if I need more, buy a 2nd Industruino

Here's another similar industrial Arduino, https://controllino.biz/

At first glance, it appears slightly pricier than the Industruino and has no distributor in NA. It also lacks any included/optional display but I like the IO status LEDs on it's top cover. I believe all or most of its IOs are available on the IDC headers and it looks like it has a nice variety of high side & relay/isolated Dout and Din/analog in.
