Ard Micro (not pro) programmming on windows 7 - com port disconnect

Hi

on my windows 7 pc, whenever I try to progrsm my Ard Micro (not PRO), as son as I start to send the code to the Micro, the comm port disconnects and then a few seconds later it reconnects. Hence I can not get code to the Ardunio.

Any ideas?

Sorry, got confused with the nano...I almost looked it up.

Actually, you got it confused with the "Mini" or Pro Mini, which requires an external USB adaptor.

But this behaviour of the micro/ Pro Micro is common, I do not recall the answer (which is why I did not offer it as such) and have yet to get one to function myself!

I may have more luck with the latest IDE which handles itinerant ports better.
