Arduino 2560 stoped working after I burned a chip

Hey guys, whats up?

Got new arduino 2560 mega, and a ramps1.4 shield for it. While testing stuff out I made a mistake while wiring stuff and burned one of my chips.

At the begining I tought nothing bad happend except a fried cheap chip (get it? cheap chip :stuck_out_tongue: ) but after that I tried to connect the arduino back to my computer and nothing is recognized.

Checked other boards - all works good.
Tried the loopback test - not working.
No COM port available nor any "Unknown device" in my device manager.

Any chance someone knows what else can I do/check?

Thanks

Try programming via the ISCP connector , that might still work.
If it does you might still find it unreliable or other bits not working. Good learning exercise .....
