arduino 2x L293D h bridges 2 dvd stepper motor conection problem

I'm trying to connect Arduino Uno and 2x DVD stepper motors with 2 L293D H bridges, and driving

I'v tried everything

pins for M1
2,3,4,5

pins for M2
8,9,10,11

here is my Fritz

and code

here is pic from my actual installation board

First I checked the motors for pairs of coil with measure instrument they are
red, green (12ohm)
yellow, blue (12onm) (as shown in my fritz file)

when I put 4 AAA battery pack
first motor(M1) has voltage of 1.5V its not spinning (this is connected to the first L293D)
second (M2) on has voltage of 1.5V and its spins its working (this is coneccted to the second L293D)

when I plug my adapter 9V 1500mA
the temperature rise for both of them, they are very HOT but I get the same result :frowning:

first motor(M1) has voltage of 5V its not spinning
second (M2)on has voltage of 5V its spins its working

When I unplug the one that spins (M1), the other one still does't work
When I switch them I still get same result... one is spinning (on the second L293D), the other one that is connected on the the first L293D dose not spinning.... so the motors are OK, is seems that the problem somehow is in my First L293D.

I changed fist L293D with brand new L239D, but no result.

I swapt pins on Arduino for M1 an M2 like
M1 (pins 8,9,10,11)
M2 (pins 2,3,4,5)
Still I get the same result M1 does't work, M2 on second L293D is Ok

also when ever I press the motor shaft it sims like its starts to spin but its stops immediately

I tray everything but still no results :frowning:

If you have another idea I'm open to tray it.

Rebuild your M1 controlling L293 on another place on that breadboard, and use other wires.
Breadboards are easy to damage and create poor contact.
These wires are also known to fail.

By rebuilding, you are also less likely to make the same mistake, if you did that.

Work with a single motor until you know how to make it work as you want.

If you can't get a single motor to work post your code and a drawing showing how everything is connected.

Thanks, for the advice I will tray to rebuild it on a new board... because this is my second place on this board that I build it... First I did it on the right side... it was not working as well, so I place it here

Robin, I did the circuit with one motor maybe 10 times  and its working very well, but wen I connect the second one there is some kind of a problem that I don't know what is :frowning:

Have you tried the code for the two motors with the circuit for a single motor ? That should show if it is a hardware or a software problem.

Can you try the code for the two motors with only one L293 in place ?
and then with only the other L293 in place ?

Thank you... Thank you...Thank you
You gave me an Idea and it works.... I moved both L293D to the center of the board and it works !!!
I can't believe that the problem was bad board... I work on this problem for 2 days.
Thank you
