Arduino + a 10A relay motor driver board ?

Hi

I just got my Arduino and also a motor driver board and a 10A 450rpm motor.

I got the motor driver board required for the motor (the motor requires 9.5A and the driver board allows 10A max per motor). I need such a powerful motor for my project so hence didn't buy the Arduino's motor shield.

But now how do I interface this motor driver board with the Arduino? I'm only connecting one motor of that sort, so i'll be using only the first two pins on the motor board (pin-1 and pin-2).

Any help on getting this motor driver board working with the Arduino? :-?

Well you are going to need a big power supply - 12V 10A The supply should be connected to power supply + and -

Connect your motor to Motor 1A and Motor 1B Connect Arduino 5V to Pin 3 of the input section Connect Arduino Ground to Pin4 of the input section Connect 2 Arduino digital pins to Pin1 and 2

Basicly when you set pin 1 high and the other low, the motor will spin in one direction. If you set pin 2 high and the other low, the motor will spin in the other direction.

I think that's too close for comfit, you probably need a bigger board. As a rule of thumb you should only drive stuff to 80 - 90% of maximum capacity.

what if he tries to get 5A from each motor output? would that work? Basicly tieing Motor 1 and 2 outputs together?
