How feasible would it be to adapt this project to use a button/pot-based controller instead of Max/MSP, and for it to output to plain 8 ohm speaker instead of MIDI? It doesn't have to take advantage of everything the chip has to offer, but how difficult, exactly, would it be to get some controllable noise out of the thing?
