I am trying to control my Arduino Mini (ATMEGA168) wirelessly via Bluetooth.
I am using an Arduino Mini with an BISM II bluetooth module that uses the CSR Bluecore 4 chipset: Datasheet http://bit.ly/lHQ4kH , the module is configured for 19200 8n1 and passcode 12345, friendlyname ARDUINOBT as the "real" arduino BT. The Arduino is NOT running the BT-firmware, as this has some commands that gets sent to the genuine Bluetooth module, which i do not have.
Upon connection via bluetooth to the UART of the Arduino Mini. It "replays" some data, i cannot find any mention of a buffer in the datasheets, so i'm stumped! - Maybe it's the bluetooth stack on Mac OS that does this ? The program works if you type in "1" or "0" as it should, but this "echoing" happens with every connect
The data that gets echoed seems to be sporadic and i can't seem to see a system in it. When it "replays" these commands in the terminal window upon connecting, the LED turns on/off too, so the data is coming FROM the bluetooth module to the Arduino, but i am unsure if the Bluetooth module or the OS X Bluetooth stack is giving me a hard time!
I have shot a video of the behaviour here: - YouTube
Anyone with insight on this? I can't seem to find out where the problem lies... Maybe i should test this on a Windows laptop to rule out the Bluetooth Stack...
