Arduino and COmputer VIsion with Threat detection

I have been googleing my fingers to the bone looking for an After market version of this - YouTube

I have the Computers my Suburban has a Dozen of them I have a FLIR camera on my light bar I am just looking for a way to drive in the foggy snowy weather with a tad more safety I even considering trying to find a wrecked BWM and take their gear but I doubt BMW would give me the wiring diagram any chance I can hack something like this together with a Arduino or two?

Hoi,

I have the Computers my Suburban has a Dozen of them I have a FLIR camera on my light bar

...and NO ONE has a dot, a comma or so .... :astonished:

The project itself is very interesting (typical BMW) - but what exactly you want to do with the gear from a wrecked BMW ?

Just get a BMW, problem solved. Plus it's a nicer car.

AVR Arduinos are out of their depth when it comes to image processing. You need something with a lot more processing power.

"Hacking this together" isn't an easy job.

I want to retro fit this system into my suburban or build one from scratch as for getting a BMW everyone has their opinion personally I would sooner push any Suburban I have ever owned they drive a BWM, I figured seeing Arduino is pretty much made for the DIY’er that this would be a good place to start

In this case no, it is not.
I can't see what a computer has to do with this project at all. Is is simply a thermal imager isn't it?

I assume a suburban is some sort of a car, I have never heard of one. Remember this is an internationall forum not a procacial one.

Hoi Belzebub, whats up ?
STILL wondering for what that BMW gear should be or what that gear has to do with some kind of image processing (which was unable to solve with an ARDUINO (as Grumpy_Mike worte) - you have to use at leat an ARM or ST3xxx System.

Why dont using a cheap smartphone with android for that and code an App ?
