Arduino and Dallas keys

Hi there,

Sorry to start in the forum with a question, but when you're a noob it doesn't get much better then that ...

So, problem:

Arduino in one place
Dallas key, 30 meters away from Arduino

Needed :

Connect the Dallas key reader to the Arduino but did not want to put cables between...
Why?
Cause there is already cables in both ends of the "circuit", but, they carry 24v all the time.

Idea : Somehow send the Dallas Id thru the 24v and in the other end, somehow decode that into the Arduino...

Doable? Any help?

bluetooth, wifi or xbee?

ive heard about those things that put ethernet through wall power outlets in a house, buts that's all i know about sending data through power lines.
