Arduino and server

It is my first time in this forum, so Hello!!
I want to help me with my problem. ::slight_smile:

I have some Arduino with internet access using w5100(ethernet shield)
and esp8266 (it is not an Arduino actually but it works like that)

I want an online server for a text file too (it doesn't matter if it is local or not). I know how to make one using Arduino, raspberry or even web host. :sunglasses:

So my problem is:
How can I edit that online file on the server using an Arduino? The project is something like a lot of Arduinos with one button each, and when I press the button on an Arduino it will change the text on the server.

I don't know if you can understand my problem.
My English isnt very good because I am 16. :sob: :sob:

Thanks in advance

How can I edit that online file on the server using an Arduino?

You can't. What you can do is make the Arduino-as-client (with Ethernet shield) make a GET request. The GET request contains the name of the script on the server to execute and the data to pass to that script.

That script will be solely responsible for writing to the file.

Thanks a lot. I will try it!!!
