Arduino and Sew Movitrac

Hello
I have to do a small project and i need some help from you
I whant to connect an arduino uno with a sew movitrac to control the speed of a motor
Can anyone help ne with the schematic and some form of code?
Thanks

Hi.

Probably not.
You could have provided some more information.
Like what a "sew movitrac" is.

And what options you have available at that frequency inverter.
It's not unlikely that you will need an addition to your Uno, like a ethernet shield or some fieldbus or other serial communication solution.

As you "have to" do this, it's very likely that this is some school project.
Do you get through all your projects by asking others to do them for you ?
If so, how's the learning going ?

Bottom line:
Provide more useful information, and do some work yourself, don't ask others to do it for you.

for those who dont know what a sew movitrac is, it is an inverter

i want to drive a very large 3 phase motor with arduino
if you want to take a look SEW Eurodrive MOVITRAC ® B MC07B And Arduino - YouTube
And IT IS NOT FOR A SCHOOL PROJECT
is for my on personal use
i found something like i whant on youtube but it doesnt say anything about the project
I have an ideea but i dont know all the details about the connection betwin arduino and inverter

There are many many models of Movitrac. For instance the brochure entry for Movitrac B
controllers lists control protocols as:

CANopen Yes	Yes
DeviceNet	Optional	Optional
EtherCAT	Optional	Optional
Ethernet/IP	Optional	Optional
Modbus TCP	Optional	Optional
PROFIBUS DPV1	Optional	Optional
PROFINET IO	Optional	Optional

i have an MC07A008-2b1-4-00
I think i have to do the connection on x10

Hi, yes your control will be via terminal strip X10, depending on what you want to do, either using the I/O or BUS is up to you.

If you use the I/O then you will be switching Inputs to the 24Vdc rail, so I'd suggest opto coupling for those, i have used SEW before but not using BUS control.

Tom....
