Arduino and Xbee commuication

hi guys,

firstly i am a starter as in arduino as in xbee communication.

i am making a project that consists in connecting these sensors to an arduino:

inductive sensor;
accelerometer;
ir sensor;
strain gauge;
termistor.

all these sensors will be connected to an arduino and with the xbee module i can send the data to another xbee module that is connected to a pc to read the data. all i need is a usb adapter for the xbee and a xbee shield for the arduino. am i right?

is it very difficult to program this?

thanks in advance, and sorry if i can't explain myself better, i am not a native english speaker.

The programming shouldn't be too difficult as theres many websites that show you how to do this. Off the top of my head sparkfun have good guides. You could also use Wi-Fi to send the data to your PC to reduce the number of xbees you need. My site can show you how I managed to do that:
