I have tried the Arduino library for XBee (http://code.google.com/p/xbee-arduino/) and I have seen that when receiving a message, it recognizes its beginning by a START_BYTE and then reads the length of the message, some other special bytes and the message itself.
This is coherent, as reading Serial data requires something like a start or stop byte. However, is it possible to ommit those special bytes (START_BYTE, length, etc.) in order to send and receive only the message payload?
XBee implements 802.15.4 which sends the size of the frame payload in its header. Is it possible to obtain that information when a frame is received?
Thanks a lot.
