Arduino as Bluetooth to RS-232 Converter

Hello,

I don't know if anyone did this before or if the computing capacity of a UNO R2 is enough:
If got a device(a A'PEXi POWER-FC Car ECU) with a RS-232-Port. I want to connect it to my PC via Bluetooth.
I know there a already P'n'P RS-232 to Bluetooth boxes on the market, but they are very expensive and I like it to build things :wink:
Is it possible to do this with a bluetooth module? And if yes, do I need a special one?

You would need both a Bluetooth-to-TTL-Serial module and a TTL-Serial-to-RS232 module. At that point you could just hook the two together with no need to put an Arduino between them.
